Training Kids For Ramadan

After namaz, the third pillar of islam is roza i.e. fasting. A muslim cannot be a muslim if he does not believes or cares for the five major pillars of islam. The belief of a person develops in his early age. If a child is not told what his belief is, he will wander around and there is a possibility that that kid go astray. So this is the prime duty of parents to keep their kids on the right path. At the age of seven, namaz becomes compulsory on the kid and at age of 10 parents can beat their kid if he does not care for namaz. Roza is fard at age of puberty. As soon as kids reach their age of puberty, they are entitled to observe fast. Why is it made compulsory at young age? The reason is, since at the early age, children learn fast and they understand easily, at the later age, people are more ego struck and to exercise religion becomes difficult for them. Health Benefits of Fasting

The month of blessings and forgiveness, Ramadan does not only bring with it a chance for us to refrain from evils and to do as much good deeds as we can but also  improve our health which we do not care about at all in the 11 months in which we do not fast. One might find it surprising to link fasting with health but it is medical science that proves the significance of fasting. It is the best exercise for our stomach and a complete overhauling of our digestive system. Apart from it medical benefits, it is also a beneficial exercise to be psychologically fit. Fasting brings that peace of mind, which otherwise cannot be found in any other practice. Since our stomach learns to rest, it activates its muscles fast and this practice makes the weight management easy. Neither drinking nor eating, gives stomach and overall digestive system plenty of time to retune its function and health in very short period of time without experiencing any mineral or nutrition loss. It is sunnah to ...

Social Benefits of Ramadan

There are so many benefits of the month of blessings and mercy and forgiveness that counting them on finger tips will not be possible.  Apart from its rewards and other benefits, Ramadan gives us a chance to correct our life styles and be practical in approach. It brings discipline in our lives which otherwise we cannot have and see in our lives. To spend a life with discipline is the most difficult thing. But a muslim can make his life an example for others with respect to discipline. While we wake up at sahar time, we manage to do so because we care for fast. We offer namaz of fajar at proper time to close the fast properly, thus we give ourselves a chance to care for the things that need preference. Thus we learn to give preference to important matters and manage our lives in Ramadan by the rating of preferences. At aftar, all members of family gather on table to break the fast together. This might not be seen in many families during the common days but only Ramadan...

Itikaf In Ramadan

Itikaf is another voluntary act of worship in Ramadan. Our beloved prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w observed Itikaf in the blessed months of Ramadan and HE s.a.w.w was informed about the night of shab-e qadar which comes in one of the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan. Itikaf imeans to spend time alone in the remembrance of ALLAH and to not mingle around with people until gets necessary. Itekaaf is observed in mosques. At the time of Muhammad s.a.w.w both male and females used to observe it in mosques because there are traditions that indicate the presence of the ummul mo’mineen in atikaaf with Muhammad s.a.w.w. Coming back to Itikaf, it is that special worship in which a person leaves all the worldly things behind for 9 or 10 days and remembers ALLAH alone. This act of worship is only for ALLAH swt. The purpose of itekaaf is to seek guidance and to live alone for some days to be with our Creator only. Being alone opens so many gates of wisdom and knowledge on us. it is...

Ramzan and The Quran

Ramzan and The Quran The Quran is the greatest book of Muslim. Muslims believe The Quran to be the book of divine guidance and direction for humanity and consider the text in its original Arabic to be the literal word of God. Muslims believe the Quran to be verbally revealed through angel Jibril (Gabriel) from God to Muhammad (SAW) gradually over a period of approximately 23 years beginning in 610 CE, when Muhammad (SAW) was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death. Ramzan aur Quran: Ramzan mah Quran insane ki zindagi key liye hidayat Guideline hai. Insane ki zindagi ko aik makhsus tarz par istawar karne key liye Quran sirf ajmali asul hi nahi waza karta, balkeh insane ko makhsus tarz zindagi ikhtiyar karne wala aik khasusi insane jise “muslim” ka naam dia gia hai, banne key liye aik khas “training course” bhi waza karta hai.
